NICE WEATHER?

So, here I was, thinking that Spring was in the air when I checked the forecast for the week and saw that it will snow on Friday. Thank you global warming.

No, no thank you. Is it wrong to enjoy this nice weather, when you know it is a direct result of the damages done to our planet?

According to NASA, “There is no question that increased levels of greenhouse gasses must cause the Earth to warm in response.”

What does this mean for our planet?

Well first, rising sea levels. In the last century alone, the global sea level has risen about 6.7 inches, and has been increasing very quickly since then. In the last decade, it doubled that of the last century and is expected to rise even more.

A increase in global temperature and warming oceans (warming of 0.302 degrees Fahrenheit since 1969) have had a negative impact on many species. One species, in particular, the Adélie penguins from Antarctica has seen their numbers fallen drastically in 30 years from 32,000 breeding pairs to 11,000, according to researcher Bill Fraser.

And these only scratch the surface. Here’s a list of the effects of global warming, and what you can do, as an individual, to stop it .
